Dave Reeves won the contract to redevelop my garden in early 2019. Dave worked with me to develop a design for my new garden that met my 4 requirements which were to be:-
- Harmonious with the design of the house
- Meet my budget requirement
- Be easily maintained
- Meet my aspirations for a lifestyle garden
I was satisfied that the design met all of the above. Dave and his team carried out the work in the autumn of 2019 in some of the worst possible weather. There was torrential rain and high winds but somehow Dave and his team of people managed to complete the project in the project timescale.
Dave and his people were a pleasure to have around. Dave communicated with me regularly so I always felt confident the project was being managed well and even suggested a few small enhancements as the garden took shape which made it even more special.
Dave was scrupulously honest in his accounting and delivered on time and on budget. I would recommend him as a garden designer and contractor.

We approached Dave with plans to completely refurbish our garden. He listened very carefully to our brief and came back within a few days with several different plans. We worked together and combined two plans together to get our perfect garden. He then came up with a quote (which remained accurate throughout the process) but put us under no pressure to commit to the project. When we were ready, he booked us in for the work to start.
He has a small team that work with him. They obviously all get on very well together. They worked hard, to a high standard, and were always prompt and courteous. Dave managed the project but obviously had huge trust in them.
When our project was completed we were thrilled with the result. There was one small thing that we were unhappy with and Dave fixed it promptly and at no extra cost.
Dave is totally honest and puts everything through the books. It is very important to him that his clients are happy with their new garden. I have recommended him to a number of family and friends who have also been delighted with the projects they have commissioned from him.

We were very pleased with the landscaping of parts of our garden which completed our original design, 30 years on. We particularly appreciated you listening to our ideas, then developing them and making suggestions of your own for both the hard landscaping and the choice of plants. You had time to chat about any issues that arose and were never “phased “. The work was professional, thorough, and you both cleaned up at the end of each day. At the end of the work, there were no nasty surprises and the garden was clean and lovely. I particularly liked the patio under the apple trees for the garden table. We were also impressed that although you have qualifications you actually did know what you were talking about.

I knew Dave as a pleasant, hard-working colleague in his teaching days. He was, therefore, my first and only port of call when I wanted to commission some pre-retirement work in my garden. He re-turfed a raised lawn, completely cleared and then seeded a very neglected side garden with new wild flower meadow grass and planted new hedging alongside this to match, in due course, with an existing long standing hedge.
Newly-planted climbers are ready to clamber up two telegraph poles and a trellis, whilst the removal of overgrown planting will allow well established plants to thrive in the light.
My only regret is that I now have to be patient through the winter until everything springs into life.
